Data synchronization between branch and central databases is important for organizations that operate through multiple locations, departments, service units, or regional offices. Branch databases often handle local transactions, customer records, inventory updates, payments, employee activities, and operational entries, while the central database maintains consolidated information for reporting, control, auditing, and decision-making. When synchronization is weak, organizations may face duplicate records, delayed updates, inconsistent balances, missing transactions, reporting errors, and poor coordination between local and central operations. This article focuses on data synchronization between branch and central databases by examining replication methods, timestamp-based updates, conflict detection, transaction validation, network delay handling, data reconciliation, and synchronization monitoring. The study discusses how structured synchronization can improve data consistency, reduce manual correction, support real-time reporting, and strengthen operational control across distributed database environments. The article concludes that effective branch-central database synchronization is essential for maintaining accurate records, reliable reporting, business continuity, and long-term database integrity.
